  • South Andean Gas Pipeline project to attract $20 billion investment
    Kuntur Transportadora de Gas submitted the Environmental Impact Study (EIS) of the South Andean Gas Pipeline project to Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mine. Project requires up to US$20 billion in investments including the pipeline’s construction and complementary projects.
  • OGX has 6 interested in Campos Basin Blocks
    At least six international oil companies have demonstrated interest in buying a stake in offshore oil fields owned by Brazilian oil and gas company OGX, local financial daily Valor Economico reported Tuesday.
  • Ecuador’s oil exports up almost 74%
    Measured by value, Ecuador’s oil exports rose almost 74 percent in the first half of 2010 compared to the same period last year, although that increase was due entirely to higher prices, the Central Bank said.

    MODEC announced that Petrobras, through its wholly owned subsidiary PNBV, on behalf of Consortium BM-S-9, has signed a letter of intent for the supply, respectively, charter, and operations of a FPSO vessel for the BM-S-9 (Guara) Block in the giant "pre-salt" region of the Santos Basin ("Letter of Intent").
  • Petrobras: Bolivian gas to remain important for Brazil
    Brazilian state-controlled energy giant Petrobras said Bolivian natural gas will remain important for energy-hungry Brazil, where demand for that fuel is expected to triple over the next four years, Bolivian daily La Razon reported.

    Canacol updated its development drilling program at its operated Rancho Hermoso Field located in the Llanos Basin of Colombia, which is operated under a contract with Ecopetrol, the state oil company of Colombia.
