    Greater co-operation in the energy field will take place now that the agreement has been signed on the unitisation of cross border gas reserves between T&T and Venezuela and will give local service companies the opportunity to be used in Venezuela.

    Petróleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) and the Government of T&T signed the first agreement unifying the gas reserves located in the Lorán-Manatee field alongside their maritime border, whose certified gas reserves amount to 10 trillion cubic feet.

    Energy Minister Carolyn Seepersad-Bachan will lead a delegation from the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Venezuela on August 15 for the exchange of instruments of ratification of a framework treaty related to the Unitisation of Hydrocarbon reserves that extend the limitation line between TT and Venezuela.
