Quetzal continues to test the Atzam #3A well, with completion and testing activities currently suspended due to a recent tropical storm and volcanic activity in Guatemala which has seriously disrupted logistics in support of operations at the well.
- ■ Costa Rica mulls entrance into PetroCaribe
The government of Costa Rica continues to mull its entrance into PetroCaribe. The former Costa Rican administration, under President Óscar Arias, originally solicited entrance into PetroCaribe in July 2008 when oil prices were on the rise and showed no sign of retreat.
- Quetzal cases potential oil well in Guatemala
Quetzal has cased the Atzam #3A development well, to a depth of 1506 feet, as a potential Coban C-12 new pool oil discovery in the 1-2005 Exploration and Production contract area of Guatemala.
- President says Panama has oil
President Ricardo Martinelli said there was oil in the Darien jungle and he planned to expand the mining industry in Panama while protecting the environment. |
