CARACAS -- When May finally rolls around and the much welcome rains return across the country (at least that’s what the Venezuelan government is hoping will happen), I ponder whether the Electric Ministry will continue to move forward with its efforts to bring on projects to increase Venezuela’s generating capacity.
My gut feeling is that the projects will be forgotten and the idea pushed to the back burner. Why? Just maybe that money (capital) could be better spent elsewhere, i.e. Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, among other countries politically aligned with Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez Frías.
