COMPANY BACKGROUND AND EVOLUTION

Latin Petroleum Analytics (LAPA), dba LatinPetroleum.com, was founded as an independent research firm in late-1999 to provide insights into the petroleum industry throughout the Latin American and Caribbean regions.

Via an interest in Doble-Click.com, Latin Petroleum Analytics published and distributed its electronic newsletters until launching its official website in 2002. In the meantime, Latin Petroleum Analytics provided insights into the energy petroleum regions from Mexico and the Caribbean in the north to Argentina and the Southern Cones regions of South America via the quarterly publication of two electronic newsletters, the LatAm Energy Review and the LatAm Energy Journal.

On October 1, 2002, LAPA launched its website www.latinpetroleum.com, providing unlimited access to a variety of news stories, special articles, supplements, opinions, commentaries and research and analysis.

In late-2002, Latin Petroleum Analytics ceased to publish the LatAm Energy Review in order to work exclusively on the LatAm Energy Journal newsletter. By the close of 2004, the LatAm Energy Journal was converted into a magazine format, inline with the focus on becoming an electronic magazine.

In 2004, Latin Petroleum Analytics began to publish the LatAm Energy Journal on a monthly basis to provide more timely information to its readers and by the end of 2005 changed its name to just LatinPetroleum Magazine.

In 2005, Latin Petroleum Analytics changed its name to LatinPetroleum, Inc., which is the publisher of the LatinPetroleum Magazine (electronic version) and LatinPetroleum Magazine (physical version) and is the 100% owner of its Venezuelan publishing subsidiary, Editores Latin Petroleum, C.A., which was established in late-2005.

In Latin America, LatinPetroleum, Inc. continues to expand its presence in the region and via Editores Latin Petroleum, C.A., printed three pilot editions in 2006 of the initial print magazines that began circulating in limited editions at energy conferences in Venezuela, the United States of America, Canada and Trinidad & Tobago.

In early-2007 LatinPetroleum, Inc. executed a complete overhaul of its original website and changed its logo, moves that were in line with the new image of the print magazine.

In late-2007 LatinPetroleum, Inc. officially launched and introduced its print magazine in Houston, Texas. The LatinPetroleum Magazine is now published quarterly and likewise distributed to subscribers 4 times per year.
